- IT ASSET DISPOSITION
When technology leaves your organization, it shouldn’t leave questions behind.
NextLife manages the path from retired asset to final disposition, bringing logistics, secure
processing, value recovery, reuse, and responsible recycling into one coordinated ITAD process.
- THE PATH
RETIRED → NEXT
One coordinated process.
- The ITAD Challenge
ITAD is not simply removing equipment.
The equipment may be leaving your building, but several important decisions are only beginning.
An effective IT asset disposition program answers those questions before choosing the destination.
- The questions that matter
- Does it contain data?
- Can it still be used?
- Does it have resale value?
- Should components be recovered?
-
Has it genuinely reached the point where recycling
is the best remaining option?
- PROCESSING OUTCOMES
One process. Multiple possible outcomes.
- THE OUTCOME CHANGES BECAUSE THE EQUIPMENT DOES.
We receive equipment in different conditions, from fully functional devices leaving a planned refresh
cycle to damaged or outdated technology that has spent years in storage.
Assets are sorted and evaluated individually so their condition, security requirements, and remaining
usefulness can determine what happens next.
A working laptop may be tested and remarketed. A server may require secure data clearing before
resale. A damaged mobile device may contain recoverable components or residual market value. An
asset with no viable path to reuse can move into responsible recycling.
The outcome changes because the equipment does.
- LOGISTICS THAT FIT THE PROJECT
- LOGISTICS
Logistics that fit the project.
Disposition begins long before equipment reaches our processing facility.
NextLife coordinates logistics based on the location, equipment type, quantity, and economics of
each engagement. That can include local collection, truck pickup, review of inventories or
photographs, and prepaid shipping options for smaller projects
The goal is simple: create a practical route from where your technology sits today to where it should go next.
- DATA SECURITY
Security travels with the asset.
Retired technology can carry years of company, customer, employee, or student information
NextLife provides logical data clearing and physical data destruction capabilities at our facility,
supported by documented processes designed to make secure disposition part of the workflow
rather than an afterthought.
Where reporting is required, project documentation can provide greater visibility into how assets
were processed
- DOCUMENTED PROCESSING
- CASE STUDY
A four-year ITAD relationship built around control and recovery.
- RECOVERED VALUE
$100,000+
over more than three years of
quarterly pickups
quarterly pickups
An enterprise oil company needed to retire more than 1,000 devices distributed across multiple West
Texas locations. The client was initially reluctant to release hard drives, making security and chain of
custody central to the engagement.
NextLife developed a logistics process using lockable transport carriers, provided detailed asset
tracking and audit reporting, and issued Certificates of Data Destruction. Over more than three years
of quarterly pickups, the program has recovered more than $100,000 in value for the client.
The project demonstrates what effective ITAD should accomplish at the
same time: remove the operational burden, protect the information,
and preserve value where possible.
- ACCEPTED EQUIPMENT
Equipment changes. The responsibility doesn’t.
NextLife can process a broad range of powered technology, including computers, laptops, tablets,
smartphones, printers, servers, switches, routers, firewalls, POS systems, telecommunications
hardware, cabling, and related electronics.
If you are unsure whether your equipment fits, the easiest place to start is simply showing us what
you have.
